The Marathon des Sables turned out to be a roller-coaster of an event during which I had to overcome adversity to get to the finish line. In doing so I proudly carried with me the Opwall Trust’s environmental message.
I would like to thank everyone who stood by me throughout this amazing journey in pursuit of completing my challenge, the Ice Water Fire project. I wish to publicly acknowledge (in no particular order of importance!) Vasilis Poulios, Andreas Flouris, Craig Barton, Darren Barnes-Heath, Dan Exton, Rachel Daniels, Dan Ward, Becky Welbourn, Aggelos Pappas and Antonios-Marios Papagiotis; this project could have not come to its fruition without their help and uttermost belief in my vision.
It is a privilege and an honour to be the first person in history to have completed the Ice Water Fire challenge; a very humbling experience.
Thank you again for all your support while I was in the Sahara, as well as your ongoing personal messages on my Facebook page.
